While the unified Philippine grid highlighted by the President in this year’s SONA holds promise for underserved communities in the short run, it falls short of addressing the broader energy crisis.

The Philippines has a historic opportunity to champion climate justice on the world stage by hosting the Loss and Damage Fund (LDF) Board. Serving as the LDF’s decision-making body, the Board must ensure swift and equitable distribution of resources to those facing the harshest realities of climate change.
