Take a deep breath of this blue,Is this how we kill a God?in wrestling, in killing, in destructing
Is this how we kill the ocean god? With lips unmoving —blind eyes turningIs this how we kill a god? With our food wrappers and our greedAnd our disregard for common courtesy? How does it feel to witnessthe slow dying of the land and seas?— one that was here before us— one that will be here long after usI am young, and my legs still carry me to shoreBut when I am old, will I still get towalk the edge of the tide line?
