RewriteCOP > What is the state of play on key COP28 issues? > It’s Changing, It’s Soaring: Climate Rhyme by Christine Marie Lim Magpile
I. Green Rain, Green Pouring
Green rain, green pouring,
We must act now, no ignoring.
The planet needs our urgent care,
For it to thrive and not to despair.
Reduce, reuse, recycle, we must,
To avoid the Earth turning to dust.
The clock is ticking, time is running out,
Humanity must act, there must be no doubt.
Green rain, green pouring,
A world reborn, unstoppable soaring.
For a brighter future, we should try.
We can make a change, let our spirits fly.
II. It’s Warming, It’s Scorching
It’s warming, it’s scorching.
The Earth is in trouble.
We need to act fast,
Or we’ll burst our bubble.
We can’t keep on burning,
The fossil fuels we find.
We must use renewable energy,
And leave the coal behind.
We can’t keep on cutting,
The forests that we need.
We can’t keep on dumping.
Reduce wastes, stop greed.
We can’t keep on ignoring,
The signs of climate change.
We should all be cooperating,
And make a positive exchange.
III. It’s Changing, It’s Soaring
Rain, rain, go away,
Let’s conserve, not delay.
Our actions matter.
Let’s stand together,
For a brighter, greener day.
The ice caps are melting,
The signs are compelling.
Sustainable deeds,
Fulfilling our needs.
Let’s be eco-champions excelling.
It’s changing, it’s soaring,
Our Earth we’re exploring.
We’ll take a stand,
With love for the land.
For a climate that’s truly adoring.
